Privacy Statement

At Geomagic, Inc., we intend to give you as much control as possible over your personal information because your privacy is very important to us. In general, you can visit Geomagic on the Web without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself.

There are times, however, when you may provide or we may request information such as your name, phone number, or email address in order to correspond with you or process an order. It is our intent to let you know before we collect personal information from you on our site. If you sign up for an electronic newsletter or mailing list, you will be supplied with information on how to "unsubscribe" from that list.

If you choose to give us personal information via the Internet, this policy describes how we will use such information. If you tell us that you do not wish to have this information used as a basis for further contact with you, we will respect your wishes.  We may also use your personally identifiable information for non-marketing and administrative purposes (such as notifying you of site changes or for customer service purposes).  We may provide your information to our contractors and service providers for the purpose of providing and maintaining our services or fulfilling your request.  We will use reasonable efforts to limit their use of such information and to require them to hold such information in confidence.

Certain information may be obtained by us automatically, such as through the use of [cookies and] log file information recorded by our servers.  Log information includes information your web browser sends whenever you visit any website, including you IP address, browser type, browser language, referring/exit pages, clicks, pages viewed and other similar non-personal information.  [Cookies are small text files that will uniquely identify your browser.  You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to notify you when a site is attempting to send such a file, but some features of our site may not function properly if the ability to accept these cookies is disabled.] We analyze this data for trends and statistics, and then discard the information. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website, but we do not disclose any information that could be used to identify individuals.

Due to the insecure nature of standard email and online forms, potential legal requirements and other possible circumstances, we cannot ensure that all of your communications and other personally identifiable information that may be sent to us will never be disclosed or accessed in ways not otherwise described in this policy. We may be compelled under law to disclose information to government or third parties under certain circumstances or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. Further, we can, and you hereby authorize us to, disclose any information to law enforcement or other government officials that we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or otherwise respond to requests from such law enforcement or other government officials.   We may also disclose your information if we believe that disclosure of such information is necessary to protect the safety, rights or property of Geomagic, its employees or third parties.  If part or all of our business is acquired by or merged with another party, you understand and agree that your information may be assigned and transferred to such acquiror.   In the event we experience a bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization or similar event, we may not be able to control how your personal information is treated, transferred or used. 

We have implemented these practices for the Geomagic website (www.geomagic.com). The Geomagic website does contain links to other websites. Geomagic is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of all websites you visit.

You may update your personal information or send a request for deletion of your personal information by sending an email to marketinginfo@geomagic.com. There may be some lag time between receipt of your request and the time our systems are updated.  Further, we may maintain a copy in our archives and records.
