Analysis

Geomagic software is the efficient solution for enabling non-destructive analysis such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis on parts, assemblies, and manufactured systems.   In addition, Geomagic software complements other destructive and invasive testing and analysis.

The Geomagic analysis solution includes Geomagic Studio, Geomagic Services and an extensive community of Geomagic Alliance Program (GAP) partners.   Read case studies about customer’s achieving objectives in our Success Stories.

True Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Geomagic software produces a water-tight model suitable for digital and true FEA based on an existing physical part.   This analysis complements theoretical FEA performed on a perfect CAD model, and can provide insight into flaws introduced during manufacturing that result in different performance characteristics compared to the designed intent.   Geomagic software supports any FEA software that imports a surface model for analysis.

Computational Fluid Dynamics

True performance analysis for moving parts, assemblies and systems is digitally enabled by Geomagic software.   The fluid dynamic characteristics under various conditions for turbine blades and assemblies, automotive body panels, airfoils, spoilers, boat and vessel hulls, hydrofoils and components and assemblies can now be accurately modeled based on the physical part, assembly or system.   Comparisons with theoretical performance characteristics modeled from the CAD model are now possible and enable better results and products with individually tuned tolerances per part, assembly, or system.

Deviation, Destructive and Invasive Analysis

Using Geomagic software, analysis on the physical shape characteristics of a failed, damaged, or otherwise worn part is possible enabling engineers to assess performance characteristics beyond normal conditions.   Other data collection techniques such as X-ray, CT scan, and MRI test data can be incorporated.   Deviation analysis measuring the affect of stress resulting in strain on a part can be accurately measured.

Quality and Inspection Analysis

Inspection analysis and production quality, including trend assessment, tooling, die and mold wear over time, and quality metrics are possible using the Geomagic Inspection Solution.
