Parametric Exchange for NX

Technology Preview

Parametric Exchange for NX connects Geomagic Studio and CAD to enable automatic reconstruction of geometry from scan data. The feature reduces product development time by enabling seamless transfer of parametric surfaces, solids, datums and curves from Geomagic Studio to NX without the need for intermediate neutral files such as IGES or STEP. Watch for this feature in a future release.

Application Notes

  • Parametric Exchange requires Geomagic Studio 11.
  • NX 6 must be installed on same computer as Geomagic Studio 11.

Setup

  • Once installed, Parametric Exchange is accessible under the File menu in Geomagic Studio. Parametric Exchange becomes selectable when the active object has at least one feature, datum, curve, or Fashion surface.
