Ping Fu, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Before co-founding Geomagic, Ping Fu was Director of Visualization at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, where she initiated and managed the NCSA Mosaic software project that led to Netscape and Internet Explorer. She has more than 20 years of software industry experience in database, networking, geometry processing, and computer graphics.
Ms. Fu has received numerous awards for her management achievements, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Carolinas and worldwide "Fast 50" executive by Fast Company magazine. In 2005, she was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Inc. magazine, the leading publication for American entrepreneurs. She holds graduate and post-graduate degrees in computer science and Chinese literature, and is an adjunct professor at Duke University.

Tom Kurke, Chief Operating Officer
Tom Kurke joins Geomagic with more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, product management, business development, engineering and law. Prior to joining the company, he was Vice President of Subscriptions at Bentley Systems, Inc., a leading provider of infrastructure solutions that enable engineers, architects, governments and utilities to design, build and operate more efficiently. Mr. Kurke was part of the senior management team that grew Bentley's annual revenues to over $500 million and was directly responsible for the global software subscriptions business which represented nearly 70% of the company's annual revenues. Prior to his last role at Bentley, Mr. Kurke held various functional management roles including sales and marketing, product and program management, corporate and business development and law. Mr. Kurke was previously an attorney with Dechert, an AmLaw 100 firm, focusing on M&A and intellectual property. Mr. Kurke earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University and his J.D. from Temple University.
Steven Carnevale, Chief Financial Officer
Steve Carnevale comes to Geomagic with more than 20 years of experience in financial management, business analysis, strategic planning and operational controls. Before joining the company, he was a CFO Partner in the executive services firm Tatum LLC, where he provided financial leadership helping companies in transition accelerate business success and create more value. Prior to Tatum LLC, Mr. Carnevale was CFO for venture backed technology companies including Silicon Semiconductor Corporation and Home Director, an IBM spin-off. His responsibilities included growing and structuring the financial operations and legal support teams as well as securing venture capital and M&A activities. He earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Robert Kody, Managing Director, Dental
Robert Kody brings to Geomagic extensive experience in dental CAD/CAM. Prior to Geomagic, Dr. Kody was general manager of the digital orthodontics business at 3M Unitek Corp. He joined 3M in 1998 as a scientist in the corporate research lab. From 2005 to 2009, Dr. Kody managed new business development and digital orthodontics at 3M Unitek, where he was responsible for strategic planning, mergers, acquisitions and all development aspects of 3M Unitek's digital orthodontics business. Dr. Kody holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, a PhD in polymer science and engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
Peter Scott, Vice President of Engineering
Peter Scott comes to Geomagic with extensive experience in 3D systems. His work in 3D visualization and simulation, interactive products and real-time applications has been highly regarded; in 1990 he was the first to receive Raytheon's prestigious Cost Savings Suggestions award for software development. His research in neural networks has been presented at the IASTED International Conference on Expert Systems and Neural Networks. After several years at Raytheon Corporation developing software and creating algorithms for laser and weather radar systems, he transitioned to other software engineering positions including three years at Virtus Corporation in Cary, NC. Mr. Scott received his MS and BS degrees in Computer Science from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
Karl Matthews, Vice President of Product Management
Karl Matthews brings to Geomagic more than 20 years of experience in product management, product marketing, engineering and strategic planning. Prior to joining the company, he spent 10 years at Adobe Systems, Inc, driving the product strategy and marketing of several product lines including authoring, publishing and eLearning tools, the Adobe font business and the Adobe Expert Support services business. Prior to his last role at Adobe, Mr. Matthews held various marketing and technical roles in the UK office of FileNet Corp., a leading provider of enterprise document management and business process automation, and in the office systems division of Fujitsu ICL, a British computer hardware, software and services company. Mr. Matthews holds a BS degree in Computer Science from Brunel University in the United Kingdom.
